About Us
Humble Beginnings
24 hours before the deadline, two high school musicians from Northern Virginia came up with an idea for their senior capstone project: establishing a grant fund to help young disabled musicians access the adaptive equipment they need to play instruments. Knowing next-to-nothing about where to begin, they spent their days in local coffee shops perusing the IRS website, and researching everything from incorporation to website coding.
Today, those two musicians are college students, finally bringing their idea to life with the help of a dedicated board of supervisors and a nation-wide community of musicians who understand that music is for everyone.
Meet the Founders
Co-founder
Nicholas Edwards
Nicholas is an oboe player, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and researching Disability Studies in Musicology. Accessibility in music is important to him because he went through the process of finding adaptive equipment to play the oboe and wants to keep other musicians from facing the barriers he faced.

Char Fiorentino
Char is a violist pursuing a Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering. They have firsthand experience in designing and fabricating personal equipment to meet the various medical, and are interested in the inventive process of disability adaptation. As a witness to the close yet diverse community that music can foster, Char seeks to spread music to people of all needs and backgrounds by making it a more accessible outlet.
